Oko Shio

 

As president of Music By Numbers, Oko Shio acts as the business manager/CFO to various artists and entertainment companies. He plays a key role in the administration and business affairs of his clients creative endeavours. His expertise is primarily related to financial budgeting, forecasting, and cost control as well as contract drafting, negotiation and rights clearances. Oko’s attention to detail and keen grasp on the rudder, combined with his ability to simplify complex business concepts, has served his clients well on all their projects. 

Amélie Bertrand

 

Amélie Bertrand first dipped her toes in accounting in 2003, while she was studying in a completely different field. It was love at first sight: A combination of numbers, precision work and the law. After a few years working in the film industry, she was recruited by the Cirque du Soleil head finance/holdings department where she gained experience in financial reporting. She then joined the Donald K. Donald Entertainment Group finance department, where she met Oko Shio. 

Manar
Al Bounni

 

Manar Al Bounni joined the Music By Numbers team in June 2018, shortly after calling Canada his home. He is a Certified Management Accountant from the U.S Institute of Management Accountants since November 2013 and holds a masters degree in finance from The Arab Academy for Banking & Financial Science, as well as a bachelor degree in accounting from Damascus University.

Michael Miller

 

Michael Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at John Molson School of Business in 2014. Since then, he gained most of his accounting experience at Music By Numbers where he has worked as an account manager/accountant since 2016.  

Daryl Pantel

 

Daryl Pantel is an experienced accounting professional (Ontario CPA) with an avid interest in this crazy music business. Her specialties include all things finance for artists, live events, and projects with broad experience in minimizing non-resident withholding taxes (Canadian and international).
